Michael Wittenberg Obituary
Mr. Wittenberg, an investment adviser, was on a business trip, Judy Katz, a spokeswoman for Peters, said.
Three other people were killed in the crash, which occurred when the aircraft struck a high-voltage cable, police in Podgorica, Montenegro said.
Mr. Wittenberg married the Tony Award-winning actress in July 1996. They wed at the home of Mary Tyler Moore, a longtime friend of Peters ' .
Peters most recently appeared on Broadway in the 2003 revival of " Gypsy. " Her other Broadway shows include " Sunday in the Park With George " and " Into the Woods. " She won Tonys for her performances in " Song & Dance " and the 1999 revival of " Annie Get Your Gun. "

I met Bernadette and Michael one day in my post office in Vero Beach, Fl. I was Manager there at that time. They both came to the window, and we exchanged pleasantries and a little small chat. They were super nice! It wasnt long after that that her husband got killed in the chopper crash. I felt so horrible for her. So sad. He was really a super nice guy. RIP Michael!

I didn't know Michael personally, but I can tell from his pictures that he was a beautiful man and human being. I think he was sweet and kind with a great sense of humor. What can I say about Bernadette? One of my favorite people in the world. I'm glad they had nine wonderful years together. This is trully a tragedy, and my heart is broken for her. God always picks the prettiest flowers! She is strong and has survived with her friends and family by her side. She will go on for Michael's sake. God bless her.
