Nancy was a uniquely wonderful member of the Kearny High staff when I was a first-year teacher there in 1976-77. She taught me so much about the expectations of the school administration, supported my efforts to access my various budget resources and to follow school procedures, and helped me make the move from former student to new teacher as effortless as possible. Much earlier in life, she was a very enthusiastic and supportive mom who cheered for me and her son "Stevie" when we played Little League together in Mission Village in the mid-1960s. No doubt, my life (like many others) was made better simply by my association with Nancy Hawk. May she rest in peace!

We send our condolences to the entire Hawk family. The Hawks being Family friends of John & Julie's. We exchanged letters and Christmas cards over the years. We always appreciated your Mom's kind words and encouragement since we married so young. We relocated from Tahoe to the great state of Montana 21 years ago and love our life up here. Hugs and keep remembering the good times. Love To you all.

To all the Hawk family, so sorry to hear about your Mom. I lived in Mission Village & attended Kearny High. Mrs Hawk as we knew her, was an icon in the Kearny High office. I remember her always wearing her hair in a bun. She always had a smile for everyone. Alzheimers is such a terrible disease, My Mum, also passed away from this horrible disease. I pray they will find a cure in my lifetime. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all the Hawk family, may she rest in eternal peace. God Bless you all.
