Dad,
Today i went and visited Grandpa and Grandma and of course Jim.. I was driving around your last house that you lived in and my heart was full of memories when i was a little girl riding my small bike in front of grandmas house and picking up pine cones in the front yard..Playing with princess cause she was so sweet and loving..and you would'nt let me have my own dog.. I want you to know that no matter what or how we last spoke, you are my father and i have your blood, and will forever be connected to you no matter where we are.. I have an ache in my heart and wish that you could know how i am feeling that no one else but you would understand..and now your not here for me to share that with you, so i went to your grave today and wept and yelled into your space and hoped you could hear me or maybe even be right beside me to let me know you understand.. Our relationship was always such drama when all we needed to do was respect that each of us was as stubborn as then next, instead we were always battling for who would give in first... That really sucks now because no one wins, and i would not wish this on anyone.. Please know that i was always hoping that you would call. I always had good intentions for you and only wanted you to be happy, without anyone else involved except father and daughter,, thats all i ever wanted.. I am carrying you with me always and your in my heart Dad..
Love You, Roberta

In Memory of my Dad

Words cannot begin to express what I feel, it is like I am caught up in a dream, soon to awake and find that I was only having a nightmare and that everything is still ok.

Life is short and we are so caught up in our everyday life’s, we fail to put what’s most important first, never realizing how precious each and everyone of us are until it’s too late, I will be the first one to admit to that.

No matter how much time or how much distance there was, I still loved my Father dearly, I will always treasure the beautiful memories we had and someday I know we will see each other again.

I love you Dad

Butch - you will be greatly missed! You were more like a big brother to me than my older cousin. Your great smile, laugh and genuine spirit were a comfort to many.

Ti-tia, Uncle Norman, Bob, Jim, Donna, Roberta, and Donna - I know your hearts are aching, as is mine. But there is great peace and joy in remembering the love Butch had for his family and friends and to know he is at peace and rest from all that he has suffered. God Bless each of you in our time of sorrow.
Love,
Eileen & Barry Zuniga and family

I worked with Norm when he was assigned to San Diego PD Southern Division back in the mid 1970s. Nice guy. He always had interesting stories of arrests he made.

Condolances to Butch's family....remember him from years ago when Roberta and Donna were small....

Norman (Butch) was my cousin. We lost touch over the years so I only know Butch from my younger years. My cousin Linda and I used to bug him, we were a team. We would tease about his candy apple red shoes and follow him to Georges Car Hop where he would get on a pay phone to get away from the house and we would tease him to embarass him. My Aunt's house was always filled with kids, sometimes it was a mad house but it was always fun. We will miss you Butch.
Your Cousin,

Dear TiTia Alvy, Uncle Norman, Jim, Bob and Donna,

It was such a shock to hear of Butch's unexpected passing. We have spoken several times since his death and I cannot say how sorry I am. No one wants to bury their children no matter what their age.

Although I will be unable to attend the ceremony, please know that I am there beside you, grieving with you and remembering my big cousin, Butch. I see him as a teen, handsome and laughing, as a young father to Roberta and Donna and the guy who had the cockatoo in his kitchen. I wish I could have had him show me the home he was so very proud of. Butch was always kind to me. I loved him very much and he will be missed.

Thank God he is no longer suffering the pain he has endured during the past twoo years or so.

I love you all.
