Ray passed away peacefully at home with his family. He was 88 years young. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he made his way to San Diego after serving in the Air Force. His dream was to become a teacher. He attended San Diego State University, earning his B.A. and M.A. in education. Ray was hired by the Cajon Valley School District and taught exclusively at Johnson Elementary School. He was a wonderful teacher, adored by his sixth-graders, as well as by all the parents and faculty.Ray traveled the world extensively and made so many good friends. He was a runner and was often seen jogging in different neighborhoods in Tierrasanta, where he lived.He was a wonderful husband, the best uncle, and an unbelievable friend. Ray leaves behind his wife, Jackie, his nephew John and his wife Cecelia, and countless wonderful, life-long friends. He will be missed by everyone forever.There will be no services.

My deepest condolences to you Jackie, Jack and Cez and all who loved the Great Ray Dubois. Ray was an unfailingly nice man who led a purposeful and wonderful life.
