Ray was a wonderful man. He said something very kind and encouraging to me in about 1972, when I was a sad-sack teenager, that I carry with me to this day. Thank you, Ray!

My dad, Don Brownell, had a lot of fun backpacking and biking with Ray and spoke highly of him.

I worked closely with Ray at Solar Turbines from 1979 until he retired. He was a very knowledgable Welding Engineer, who I learned a great deal from. But most of all, he was a truly kind person and had a heart of gold, always wanting to help out, sharing his knowledge and life's experiences along the way. He had a love for the outdoors and loved talking about his adventures. I will miss his keen sense of humor; he always has an interesting "phrase" to share.

Raymond was very delightful person with a twinkle in his eye and a hug for his "special" ladies at Hairco Beauty Salon, where his wife, Frances was a customer for years.
He will be missed by Stella, Eileen and Lupe.
