Richard Lee Jetter January 31, 1914 - November 17, 2015 Placerville, CA Richard Lee "Dick" Jetter Sr., 73, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 31, 1942 to Charles and Betty Jetter. He died peacefully in his sleep on November 17, 2015 in Placerville, California. A loving father, husband, and friend, Dick loved to barbecue and spend time with family and friends. He was an avid Charger fan, having owned season tickets for more than 30 years. Dick was very active in Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football. Working together with friends, he was one of the founders of Santana National Little League in Santee, CA, serving as the league's first president. As such, thousands of boys and girls have benefitted greatly through the years. Dick had also coached many of his son's baseball and football teams. He was also a Shriner and Mason. Dick retired after a 30 year career as an Aerospace Engineer with General Electric Aircraft Engines. Prior to that, he worked on the Apollo program. Dick is survived by his three sons and their spouses; Rick (Roberta) Jetter of El Dorado Hills, CA, Dave (Michelle) Jetter of El Cajon, CA, and Bill (Jona) Jetter of San Jacinto, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy MacNaughton of Boston, MA, as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Clara Frances, and both parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Santana National Little League in Santee, CA. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines, Placerville, CA.
