The Mickelson Family,

In 1969, Colonel Mickelson commanded the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion. He was an exemplary leader who left a lasting memory on his men and set the standard for reconnaissance battalion commanders.

On behalf of the Marines and Corpsmen of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion Association, I convey our condolences.
May Colonel "Mick" rest in peace.

Lt Col Charles Kershaw, USMC (Ret)
