Roger Judge Obituary

JUDGE, ROGER Roger Judge, Ph.D., peacefully passed away at his residence on May 11, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Judge, and his two sons, Aaron and Mark Johnson. Dr. Judge received his Ph.D. in Physics from Nottingham University in 1963. He emigrated to Canada the same year to study and research atmospheric laser communication. His research career spanned from projects for NASA to professor emeritus at UCSD. Roger was an avid tennis and squash player and expressed his passion for soccer as a professional NASL Referee. Roger will be most missed for his keen sense of humor and genuine kindness. No Memorial is scheduled. Donations may be made to San Diego Brain Injury Foundation.

Janet~You have been in my thoughts for the past few days since Billie told me of Roger's passing. I am happy that I had a chance to meet and talk with him during those enjoyable visits to your beautiful home a few years ago.
