My big brother never failed to give me the forecast every time we talked, he would say how nice it was out, or what the temp was in California that day- how apropos as he is such a ray of light to those who know him. To not have known him is a loss in itself. He is certainly a ray of sunshine in my life as well as so many others and without him I feel as thou there'll be no sunlight, there'll be no clear skies, just like the clouds I'll do the same, without you Scott, every day it will rain
My brother lived life to the fullest, it may have been a short life but it sure was a good life, I know he wants the same for us to enjoy life and to celebrate him and his zest for life not be sad but to remember all his good times and tell all those crazy, silly Scott stories' and to stop and enjoy those little things in life as well as the big things and to simply love each other and love life just as he has. His love for his family and friends makes him the man that he is. I take some comfort that he is with my Grandparents, my Parents, our Family friends, our childhood friends, and the friends we have made along the way, in his short 52 years he lived more than some, as some only exist-not Scott, he lived abroad, he defended our Country,he learned several different languages, he saw so much thru travel, he had a Son and a Daughter, he was a good Son, a thoughtful Husband, a nurturing Father, a true Friend, and the Best Big Brother you could ever want! He enjoyed their home together and was always doing something whether it was building a brick oven pizza to enjoy while entertaining their friends or showing Amanda how to cook, teaching his birds how to talk, picking fruit off their trees and always sending to us in CT. the best oranges, or avacadoes, lemons, limes, etc. He just finished their Palapa out near the pool that is a palm tree covering to shade from the sun while out at the pool that they would sit under to escape the direct sun. An outside sauna was just added to the patio. He had his own version of paradise right outside of his home with his Wife and my Goddaughter, Amanda Lynn. Scott was always inviting family and friends to California to enjoy what he loved, when he opened his home to family & friends he rolled out the red carpet, you never had to worry about anything he loved to cook so whether it was steak on the grill or a pasta dish he made he was happy to do so. He loved to eat, he loved to relax and have a cold beer in his pool or under his Palapa. When we went out for his Birthday he wouldn't hear of anyone staying elsewhere so he had so many of us, sisters, cousins, friends ,etc. at his house, some stayed in the spare room , on the couch, his man cave, his office, etc. and he went out and bought a bunch of air mattresses so everyone had a place to sleep and wasn't uncomfortable. Scott always remembered everybody back in CT. whether it is my Aunt Anne in her 90's that he always stopped in to see when he was home or our neighbors next door that he would send a box of fruit from his yard, or our parents lifelong friends that we called Aunt & Uncle that he thought of as second parents, our Uncle Bill who he always tried to get him to come out to California for a visit, all of his friends and all of our Cousins that Scott kept in touch with whether when he came home or they went out for a visit and enjoyed his home. My Brother has such a BIG Heart, I can only hope that his Angel Wings are as big a pair as his heart. I love you Big Brother!

Scott was a second son to my parents Barb and Greg Mazzone. He wrote to them, called them, sent them gifts, brought them food when he was in town, took them out for meals, let them stay in his time share in Aruba for their 50th wedding anniversary and hosted them when they visited him in Hawaii. He lived a great life and loved his wife Lerina and daughter Amanda with all of his heart. I was lucky to be included in trips to Pepe's Pizza with his family when he was in CT. He enjoyed life to the fullest and we can all learn from him. My deepest sympathies to his many loved ones - he was special.

Dear Scott in your life you showed us love, compassion, empathy and dignity. Your magnetism drew people to you because you showed happiness. You could be silly but stern when you needed to be. We will forever treasure your love and know God granted you the largest set of angel wings to spread wide and protect us all. With love always cousins Joann, Anthony, Vicki, Tom and baby Caleb plus Aunt Ann
