My wonderful Old Del Mar neighbors are slowly going to a better place. First my dear Jehanne, best friend a woman could have and now my dear Steve who fished with m late husband, shared wonderful times and great meals, provided my late husband with a convenient and wonderful source of Christmas and Birthday and Valentines presents. You are not forgotten. You will always be loved by a lot of us living and not.

Be at peace my friend. You were first, my jewelry teacher, I then became a customer and occasional lucky recipient of the ‘catch of the day'. There were almost always fish and baseball tales to listen to when I was I the store. I respected your honesty of words and business. We came to know Steve through our dear friend, Jane. We are honored to know both of them and have seen them through dating, then as a married couple, and as parents to Shana, Steven, and Chris. They balanced each other well in their interests, and personalities, and were always mutually committed in their family values and love for each other. We will always remember the happy times we spent with them, or had them tell us about. This is another landmark in life's journey, and Jane, their sons, and Shana have met it with grace and dignity. Steve is very proud of them, as we are, in this difficult time.

We will greatly miss our dear Uncle Steve and his fabulous Thanksgiving Dinners. Steve was a master pie maker and always made sure we had EVERY kind, even if it pushed him to exhaustion - it was a family ritual and will remain so.
