Susie was a wonderful parent of one of the best students I ever had the pleasure of teaching. As student body president of Hoover High in the early '80s, her daughter Rhonda was an extraordinary student-leader, athlete, and scholar -- supported on a daily basis my Susie who knew exactly when to push, when to relax, when to guide, and always how to love. I still have a beautiful letter from Susie thanking me for guiding her daughter through her high school years. Oh, how I wish that Susie knew how much I still feel blessed to have her support and faithfulness in her raising of such an extraordinary young lady. How I also wish that all parents (including me) had the wisdom and understanding of parent Susie G! May her family be comforted during this difficult time and may she rest in peace...
