Thomas Guy Obituary

Thomas Guy, Jr. CARLSBAD --Thomas Guy, Jr. passed away on Thursday, August 20th, 2009 at his home in Carlsbad. He was born September 4th, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Margaret and Thomas Guy, Sr. who immigrated from England. Tom joined the US Navy at 18 and ended up in San Diego a few years later. After nine years in the Navy sailing around the world working as a fire technician and teacher, he decided to settle in Leucadia with his wife, Kathy, and begin a career in Real Estate. He worked very hard his entire life and was well established in San Diego County as a Real Estate Appraiser and Property Manager. He was a real people person who really enjoyed his work and providing for his family. He is survived by his wife, Elva Guy; his son, Andrew Guy; his pregnant daughter, Heather Evans and son-in-law, Brad Evans; and his step-son, Federico Alapizco. A celebration of his life will be held at his home on August 29th followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m., Monday, August 31st at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, where his ashes will remain.
