William Douglas Oliphant July 9, 1953 - September 26, 2018 Olympia, WA William Douglas Oliphant, 65, died September 26, 2018, in Olympia, WA. Bill was born July 9, 1953 in San Diego, CA, to Dr. Charles "Jim" and Claire (Canavan) Oliphant. A 1971 graduate of Point Loma High School, he was owner/proprietor of the Karmacy Leather Shoppe in Hillcrest. Bill later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University before opening Sports Arena Woodworking, his custom carpentry business. At the time of his death, he was Channel Operations Manager for Thurston Community Media in Olympia, Washington. Bill is survived by his partner of 18 years, Paula K. Schouviller; son, Osiris R. Oliphant; daughter, Isis L. (Devin) Albert; siblings, Jim (Sandy) Oliphant, Cathie (Ed) Boldrey, and Mari (Jim) Hauser. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at TC Media, 440 Yauger Way SW, Suite C, Olympia, WA 98502.
