Nothing but the best memories of growing up in GV with Reno and all the fun stuff Roger dreamed up for us, including giving me my nickname. :- ) Probably the coolest dad in Golden Valley. Best wishes to all the Bradfield family!

To the Bradfield family,
God bless you all, what wonderful memories I have of growing up with you in Minnesota.
My dad died in 1990 and mom in 2008, to have shared so much time with your parents is wonderful.
I remember Roger and Joanie and all of you like it was yesterday.
Love, John Kleinman

As a child my favorite book was Benjamin Dilly's Thirsty Camel. My siblings and I had my late, great father read it to us so often that he finally committed his reading to tape so that we could have him read it to us when he was at work. I always loved Jolly Roger's signature style of imaginative, spot-colored illustrations, and to me he was a titan on par with Dr. Seuss. As Papa Moose, I am a children's book author myself, and one of my regrets is that I was unable to get Jolly Roger a copy of my book in appreciation for all the enjoyment he gave to me as both a child and an adult. God bless the Bradfield clan. Your love for your father and beloved spouse is clear. What a blessing you all had and have!

Jolly Roger Bradfield came to Hawthorne School 15+ years ago to talk to our students. He drew magnificent characters from Pickle Chiffon Pie and was so engaging with the students! I am grateful to have met this delightful artist and author, and appreciate how he touched children's lives with his love of books.
