Diane Davies

Diane Davies Our Angel Diane Elizabeth Davies went home to Heaven August 23rd, 2016. Her amazing positive attitude throughout her illness from Pancreatic Cancer was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Nurses and doctors constantly commented what a great outlook she maintained throughout her illness, and how she greeted each day with a smile and a kind word. Diane was born in August 1956 and grew up in Fresno, graduating from Bullard High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Scripps College and received her Law Degree from Loyola University. Diane was a professional fiduciary and Estate Attorney on the Central Coast and was active in the community. She was a member at the Elks Club in San Luis Obispo, The Rotary Club of Atascadero, SLO Skiers, Chamber of Commerce, Professional Fiduciary Association of California, San Luis Obispo Bar Association and the Native Daughters of the Golden West. Additionally, she served as Secretary and Legal Counsel of the Old Santa Rosa Chapel and Cemetery Committee. Her Passion was animal rights and interpretation of the Constitution, and enjoyed a healthy debate regarding politics and Constitutional Law. A brilliant mind who could both teach and learn in the same discussion, Diane was a kind, considerate and very independent person who always wanted to help and she touched so many lives and showed that nice people do not always finish last. Diane traveled extensively in her life with multiple visits to Europe, a trip to West Africa and had just completed a two year "bucket list" adventure with the love of her life, Jeff, on the East Coast. Diane is survived by her dad Orland Davies and step-mom Judy, as well as four siblings: Gary (Jan) Davies, Judith Davies (Larry Shapiro), Tina Davies and Carol Davies, as well as 13 nephews and nieces and her three beloved dogs (Ben, Bonnie and Libby), who were graciously accepted into the homes of Diane's friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 24th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Heilmann Park, 1100 El Bordo Avenue St. in Atascadero.
