Edward LeRoy Baldwin

Edward LeRoy Baldwin, 70, of San Luis Obispo, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. LeRoy was born in Albany, California and raised in San Lorenzo, Calif.. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a welder at San Anofre and Diablo Canyon Nuclear Generating Stations, Vandenberg Air Force Base, and Jenike & Johanson. An adventurer in his youth, LeRoy developed many friendships through his love of motorcycles and later, through his love of his family. LeRoy had a gift of mechanical aptitude and self-reliance that he used to help others and instilled in his sons. He exemplified the virtues of patience, persistence, and integrity. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Lisa Baldwin; his four sons: Eric and wife Megan, Geoffrey, Garth and wife Jade and daughter Sage and Kirk Baldwin; older sister Dorothy Clarke; and younger brother Clifford Baldwin. A service will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Baywood Park Community Church, 1436 11th Street, Los Osos, followed by a B.B.Q. at his home on 2051 O'Connor Way, San Luis Obispo. All friends are welcome to attend.
