Frances Harris Obituary

Frances L. Harris Frances L. Harris, 96, of Salinas and Grover Beach, went to be with her Lord March 5, 2017, in Danville, California. She was born and raised in Meeker, Oklahoma, married her high school sweetheart, Cecil Harris, and moved to California. They worked and raised their two children in Salinas, then moved to San Luis Obispo and later to Grover Beach. Frances and Cecil were active Christians in churches in all three locations. She was a deaconess and taught Sunday School. Frances was devoted to family and friends and enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents Noble and Mary Ramey; her husband, Cecil; her son, Doyle; sisters, Urline Silvey and Zelma Lopp; and brother, Thomas J. Ramey. Surviving relatives include: daughter, Elwanda Gammill; son-in-law, Ronald Gammill; daughter-in-law, Sharon Harris; grandchildren: Debra Stone, Robin Harris, Richard Harris, Nathan Gammill, Jason Gammill, and Robert Gordon; six great- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday March 16, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 17th at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel, 1239 Longbranch Ave, Grover Beach. Sign her guestbook at sanluisobispo.com/obituaries
