I wish I could have met your parents. What you shared about their love and life story is so beautiful. I'm sure you are making them very proud.
This is a very difficult time for you. You have been nonstop for a long time. I hope you nurture your soul, mind and body.
I also hope that you take your own advice in regards to love.
With love,
Robyn

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew your parent's store, but not their sweet love story. I came upon your beautifully written homage quite accidentally, and am blessed for the serendipity. This is what love looks like. My adult sons need to know that I'm not crazy when I say I'm holding out for THIS kind of love. Thank you for sharing. I imagine you sisters, as Fred and Georgianna's legacy, emulate the stability, creativity and love they shared, and I thank the angels that brought me to this very moment. May your journey forward be gentle and freeing.

This is absolutely beautiful. Papa Fred and Georgiana were the sweetest souls who always welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like one of their own. I remember their cozy home filled with art and figurines, and I felt like I could look at them all day. I am so sorry for your great losses, they will be deeply missed. Love to you guys!

We worked with Fred many years at PG&E. We visited both Fred and Georgianna at their various places of business. I even worked for Fred at the Arroyo Grande store one holiday season. He put a feather duster in my back pocket and told me to keep things dusted, but gingerly. I felt like a bull in a china closet. He also scolded me for yapping to much with customers and preventing them from purchasing items. I have a million stories about my association with Fred, but l spare you the details. We consider Fred and Georgianna at the top of our list of life time friends. Their memories will never fade from our hearts in our lifetime. Goodbye our dear friends.

Dear Ginger, What a lovely tribute to your Mom & Papa, so beautifully written! I did not know them, but I did shop at Old World Charm & it was a wonderful store! I think I also knew your Grandpa Martines; didn´t he have the small grocery store on Foothill in San Luis Obispo? I shopped there often. Thank you for sharing your parents Love Story! Blessings!
