She married Lester Lange in 1933. The couple lived most of their married life in Moline, Ill., where Lucille was a homemaker and continued to work as a bookkeeper. She was very active in church activities and fraternal organizations. She especially enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. After Lester died in 1978, Lucille moved to Kirkwood, Mo., to be near her daughter and family.

In 1991 she moved to Morro Bay with her daughter and son-in-law. She quickly made friends through the Morro Bay Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed exercise classes, the lunch program and card groups until she was in her mid-90s. Family and friends will remember Lucille for her smile, good humor, quiet strength and her devotion to her family.
