Peggy, sorry for your loss I remember those days quite vividly. John was a great diver and fisherman, one of the best.
I understand you have the Bell from the Rydel Hall. Can you send me a photo of the bell, I would appreciate it. Not sure if you remember me but I am the person holding the cannon and was John's deck hand when we recovered the bell. I'm in the photo with John and Roy Lee. I ran into Tom Monahan a few years back and he told me John had kept the bell. John told me he was going to donate it to the Maritime museum in San Francisco.
