San Francisco, California - Karl Christian Kluck
Karl ,age 69, was born in Chicago, Illinois and died peacefully in his home in San Francisco on September 19, 2021 with his wife of 40 years, Joanne Todaro Kluck, by his side. Karl is predeceased by his parents Henry and Eleanor Kluck, and his brother, Henry (Sparky) Kluck II. He leaves behind his brother, Kevin Von Kluck, his nephew, Colin Kluck, nieces Jennifer Kluck, Amorell Demmert, Carolyn Von Kluck and Chloe Von Kluck. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Gina Todaro, Lorelei Carter and Cheryl Kluck and great-nephews and nieces, Amare, Early, Eres, Leo and Cat.
Karl attended Riverside- Brookfield High School in Illinois, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an East Coast College of Art and Design. He was a successful contractor and business partner of Freud Farley for nearly 50 years.
Karl was a very kind, thoughtful and generous man who was well-liked. He was a world traveler, artist, avid gardener, bird lover and Burning Man enthusiast. He was proud of his house and doted on his succession of Dobermans. He was a Topeka Avenue fixture and a really good neighbor. He enjoyed walking in the park, going to movies and listening to his huge collection of music. Karl will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
Friends are invited to a memorial gathering Friday October 8th at 1pm at The Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco.
