Peggy Jenkins Obituary

Peggy Jenkins, loving mother, adored Nana and dear friend to all she knew went home to be with our Lord and Savior after a brave battle with cancer Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.

Peggy was born in Inglewood, Calif., in 19?? (You're welcome Nana). She adored her life, friends and family here on the Central Coast. She was a member of the Paso Robles Model-A Club, Paso Robles Square Dancing Club, Red Hat Society and many others.

She will be remembered fondly as the "Butterfly Lady" for the decorative insects that adorned cash registers and shop windows county wide she handmade from soda bottles. She was recognized for the ALWAYS quirky jewelry she'd assemble from otherwise random objects and toys, but more so for her giving, loving soul and the infectious smile that always dressed her face.

Peggy is survived by her loving daughter, Lurinda Fiske; grandson, Jason Daniel (Megan) Fiske; great-grandson, Jacob Daniel Fiske; stepson, Jack (Theresa) Jenkins; and the extended Jenkins family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Jenkins; daughter, Kathleen Denise; and son, Thomas Fiske.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Third and Crocker in Templeton.

In celebration of her life, in true Peggy fashion, please leave your dark colored or black "funeral attire" hanging in your closet and come dressed in color. All that knew Peggy would agree that this is more "her" style.
