1982 - 2024

Samantha Linder, 42, of San Luis Obispo, California, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. Born in early spring of 1982, in Bakersfield, California, she was the only daughter of Wayne Linder and Teresa German, beloved stepdaughter to Raymond German. Preceded in death by her mother, Teresa, and her grandparents, Kenneth and Adele Rice, and Jack and Wanda Linder. Samantha leaves behind her two daughters Danielle and Madison Montoya, her grandson, her father Wayne, her stepfather Raymond, her brother Aaron Rice; and many nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A graduate of Arroyo Grande High School in 2000, Samantha treasured the friendships she built there. With a kind heart and a commitment to helping others, she pursued studies in dentistry at Allan Hancock College, where her gentle approach and compassion earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and patients alike.

Samantha's family was the center of her world. A devoted mother and proud grandmother, she brought warmth, laughter, and strength to those around her. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, sharing her appreciation for animals and nature, and creating joyful memories at concerts and gatherings.

Known for her humor, generosity, and vibrant spirit, Samantha brightened every room she entered. She will be dearly remembered as a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

A memorial service to celebrate Samantha's life will be held on Friday, November 1st, at 2 p.m. at Wheeler-Smith Mortuary in San Luis Obispo, where family and friends gather to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Samantha's name may be made to the Animal Legal Defense Fund, a cause close to her heart.
