Stephen Bratcher

Stephen Wayne Bratcher, 46, of Nipomo died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at a Santa Maria hospital. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel of Grover Beach. A service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Mr. Bratcher was born April 14, 1956, in Loma Linda. He moved to Nipomo in 1969 from southern California and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. He attended Allan Hancock College, and was a roofing contractor. Steve played the guitar and loved hunting and fishing. He especially liked watching and filming his son's team, the Nipomo Cowboys. Steve also coached a couple years for the recreation center for the boys basketball team. He was happiest just having his two sons by his side. He was also a Cub Scout leader. Steve enjoyed attending the Arroyo Grande Sportsman gatherings. His family was always his priority and he loved camping with his wife Linda and their sons. He is survived by his wife of nine years Linda Bratcher; sons, Justin and Jacob Bratcher; mother Ann Bratcher; sisters, Kellie Bratcher, and Lisa Streator and husband Mike. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Bratcher, in 1997.
