Domingo Velasquez Obituary
Domingo married the love of his life, Dora Muñoz in 1976, and they spent 45 amazing years together. He was a loving husband, father, and popo who always ensured you knew just how much he loved you.
Domingo is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dora Muñoz, brother Jose Urrutia, Jr., sister Juana Urrutia, and nephew Jesse Velasquez, Jr.
Domingo is survived by his sons, Domingo (Sofia) Velasquez, Jr., Rene (Iris) Velasquez, Anthony (Crystal) Velasquez; daughter, Veronica (Ashley) Velasquez; and by his grandchildren, Elias, Jacob, Jocelyn, Andrew, Devin, Ellianna, and Jacynda Velasquez. Domingo is also survived by his siblings: Rosa (Crespin) Hernandez, Ana (Thomas) Pena, Teresa (Carlos Ruiz) Velasquez, Virginia (Arturo) Escobedo, Jesse Velasquez, Sr. (Susie Garza), Jesus Urrutia, Pauline Vargas, Delia Bernal, twin sister Frances (Sergio) Pacheco, Gilbert (Laurie) Urrutia, Florencio Urrutia, Rosa (Edward) Martinez, and Valentin (Josie) Urrutia, and many more family and friends who he loved and cared for very much.
Visitation will take place at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos on Monday, December 5 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 6 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in San Marcos, followed by interment at Memory Lawn Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Domingo Velasquez, Jr., Jacob Velasquez, Andrew Velasquez, Jesse Velasquez, Sr., Gilbert Urrutia, and Ray Medellin. Oh Domingo V. Was a very good friend of mine.I know him from our days in school in Lamar Jr. High.As we got older in our teens . We would go to dances and enjoy ourselves a good time.Mingo and his wife Dora are good friend ot me.I will miss my good buddy. Rest in peace my Frend You will not be For gotten.
