A private committal will be held in Santa Cruz for Ann Ghidinelli who passed away peacefully at her Santa Cruz home on October 11, 2010, at the age of 91. Born Ann Lucich and raised in Watsonville, Mrs. Ghidinelli attended Hartnell College following high school where she prepared for a career as a legal secretary. For 40 years she was employed in this field, most notably by the Santa Cruz law firm of Murphy and Adams. In 1982, she and her husband Victor Ghidinelli retired to Ferndale, California and pursued a second career, operating their own dairy farm. During this time Ann also served as a dedicated volunteer at the Ferndale Museum. Moving back to Santa Cruz in 1994, they enjoyed their time together at their Westside home. Her husband Victor died in 1998.
Mrs. Ghidinelli is survived by her sons, Steve Ghidinelli of Oakland, and Gary Ghidinelli of Ashland, Oregon. She also leaves her three grandchildren, Evan, Kate, and Meghan Ghidinelli, and her sister in-law Emma Alpaugh of Santa Cruz.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Santa Cruz beside her beloved husband Victor.
