Missing you, Barbara. RIP my sweet friend. My condolences to all the family, but mostly to Sean - I was a better person knowing Barbara; may your memories of her always
never fade.

Dearest Shawn, and to Barbara´s family, I met Barbara when my son Danny began taking piano lessons from Barbara at age 6. Danny is now 37, married with 2 children. His piano, which we eventually bought to replace an old upright, still sits in our living room - Danny and his father love improvising and use it often! Barbara´s lessons and sweet attention gave Danny the drive to do his best.
I can hear Barbara´s distinctive laugh, now, as I write. She and I became friends, and I was so pleased that Danny liked her, too! Recitals were a highlight - Barbara´s natural way of working with kids was a true gift!
Danny sends his condolences, too. We mourn your loss, Shawn!
And to her large family, we send our sadness as well! She was quite a woman! Reading about Barbara´s life was fascinating!
Several places visited, such as the Dells in Wisconsin, were places I would have loved talking with her about!
I can´t imagine, Shawn, how difficult this must be for you! I know you had a solid, loving relationship! How very blessed you are to have spent so many beautiful years together!
Your memories will keep her close!
All our love,
Diane & Danny Grunes

Dear Sean, I am deeply saddened to hear of Barbara's death. She was a treasured member of Symphonic Chorus and Cantiamo!. She was always with the quick wit and intelligent remarks. She was a fabulous chorister and beloved by everyone who knew her. She will live on in the lives and works of everyone who knew and loved her. Many blessings to you. Cheryl Anderson

Barbara was one of a kind! She was so friendly, kind, and funny. I had the privilege of playing music in the mid 80s as her keyboard partner in a popular Santa Cruz band. She was amazing! She loved performing and sharing music with people. She was so easygoing and always found the perfect keyboard parts to fit the music so perfectly. Her positivity and sense of humor was always contagious, I always looked forward to seeing her and Shawn around town (many First Nights). She will be so missed. I send my love and condolences to Shawn and Barb's family. Her sweet light will always be shining.
