I've known and loved Bernie for 30 years. We've run a marathon together, camped and hiked for years, given and received support, cared about our families. He's been a mentor, dear friend, wise elder, joke-teller, and teammate. Bernie, I love and miss you.

Any thought or memory of Bernie certainly brings a smile to my face. He was a loving and warm heart who was a joy to be around. I was lucky enough to know him through his long friendship with my mother, and I always considered him to be part of the family. Love,

Bernie was one of the kindest and most positive people I have ever had the honor of calling my friend. I will miss him so very much, but will always have the memories of his encouragement, enthusiasm, elegance, humor, and grace. Bernie's cup is way more than half full, it is overflowing.
