Donald M. Geesey

Resident of Flagstaff, AZ
Donald died Oct. 28 2011 at his home in Flagstaff, Az at the age of 93.
Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, graduated from Altoona High School, Dickinson College and Dickinson Law School, he served in World War II with Army Corps of Engineers in the European and Pacific theaters. In 1946 he married Winifred Gill and they resided in
Hollidaysburg, Pa.
In 1954 Donald was a candidate for state senator from Pennsylvania. He practiced law in Altoona for 9 years before moving his family to San Jose ,Ca. Mr. Geesey continued the practice of law in San Francisco and South San Francisco. Donald was a past master or Hillsborough Masonic Lodge, former member or rotary clubs in San Francisco and South San Francisco. After retirement he worked for Hertz Corporation in the Monterey bay area.
He and his wife, Win, raised their family in San Jose, Burlingame, Piedmont, Millbrae, and Woodside, then retired to Watsonville, Santa Cruz, and Aptos, respectively where his wife of 61 years died in 2007. He moved to Flagstaff, Az in 2010 to be cared for by his daughter.
He is survived by sons Gill, of Bozeman, Mt, Stephen of Los Gatos,Ca, Gordon of Corralitos, Ca. and a daughter, Gloria Auler of Flagstaff Az. There are four grandchildren, Peter Geesey, Jennifer Olson, Emery Eaves and Colin Edwards as well as seven great grandchildren.
