Fernando Velez VII was born July 4th, 1962 in San Jose CA and passed away unexpectedly on September 12th, 2021 in Watsonville CA. Fernando was the son of Fernando Velez VI and Sandra Kimbrough. Fernando was the eldest of six children. Fernando leaves behind his wife Rosemary Velez of 42 years with whom he shared five children; Fernando Velez VIII, Sandra Monique Borba, John Lennon Velez, Veronikka Zenaida Velez, and Daniel Zapata Velez. He also leaves behind five grandchildren.
Fernando loved being a father and grandfather. Family was his true passion in life. He was an amazing father and grandfather and will be missed dearly. Fernando also had a passion for music and the arts. He was a sound technician for the LowRider Band for over ten years. Fernando lived with the constant pursuit of happiness. This life style along with a love for The Beatles and Prince brought him pure joy. That joy was passed onto his children. Through them he will live on always. Viewing will be on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Mehl's Colonial Chapel from 5pm-9pm, rosary starting at 7pm. Funeral mass will be on Thursday, Sept. 23 at Valley Catholic Church at 10am, burial immediately to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
