George Bogetti Obituary

George Anthony Bogetti
June 11, 1930 - January 23, 2013
Resident of Ripon, CA
George Anthony Bogetti passed away the night of January 23rd, at the age of 82 with his loving wife Martha, and family by his side.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and will be missed by many.
Son of Antone and Jeanne Bogetti, he was born in Ventura, California and later moved to the Tracy area in the early 1930's, where they established their family's farming operation.
George attended New Jerusalem School in Vernalis and graduated from Tracy High School, Class of 1949.
George was a long standing member and supporter of both 4-H and the FFA. George also achieved the title, California State Farmer his senior year of High School and was later named American Farmer in 1950. He was a charter member of the Elks Lodge in Tracy and member of the Knights of Columbus.
He met and married the love of his life Martha June Sasser in 1950. They settled in the Vernalis area, where they raised their children. For George and Martha, family always came first and they worked hard to instill strong values of faith, family, and hard work.
George enjoyed many activities in life. Some of his favorite past times consisted of farming, hunting, traveling and always rooting for 'his' Giants and 49ers. Golfing later became his most prized hobby, where he enjoyed playing at his favorite Country Clubs, Del Rio, Seascape and Spring Creek. He will forever hold bragging rights for his hole in one on #12 at Spyglass Golf Course.
We will always cherish his strong whit, charming sense of humor and infamous one liners, which has helped him to make many friends along the way. He will also be remembered for his tough work ethic, strong Catholic faith and love for his family.
George is survived by his wife, Martha. Their children, Vince (Rita), Georgette (Chuck), Andrew (Lynne), Matthew (Stephanie), Nathan (Louise), sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, his brothers Albert and Robert and sister Antoinette Reece.
Proceeded in death by their infants, Mary Katherine and Baby Boy Bogetti, George's parents, brother John and sister Bertha Thoming.

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a wonderful treasure to always hold in your heart. God took you away to ease your pain, yet left us crying...but now the right thing to do is think about all the great memories we had with you. I will miss you forever & love you always.

George will missed by his family and friends but he will always be remembered. He was a very honorable man and proud of who he was and where he came from. Because of his life on earth, George left behind a beautiful family that have the values he raised them with. He reminded me so much of his brother, John (my father-in-law). They seemed to be so much alike. They were both very good men. What a great example he has been to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. My love, thoughts and prayers are with the family. Bless you all.
