The eldest of 3, Janet Dale Mathers was born November 12, 1944 in Calgary, Canada. She was 5 years old when her family immigrated to California. Janet attended Notre Dame High and SJSU. She lived in San Francisco and Marin, before moving to Aptos. Janet's passion for knowledge led to her teaching career at Rolling Hills Middle School. Janet was an amazing daughter, sister and aunt who strove to make a positive impact. She worked with Save our Shores, ran the school recycling program and rescued several finicky felines.
A kind soul with a great love of the planet and travel, Janet departed this earth on August 9, 2021 for the ultimate adventure. Janet is survived by her brother Jack (Carol) Mathers, sister Cindy (Roger) Brown, nieces and nephew Jenny Molina, Phil Brown,
Marcie Moles, Christie Brown and seven great nieces and nephews. An Celebration of Life will be held at Seacliff State Beach on Sunday, October 3, 2021, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
