Jeffrey Kent Williams passed away in Las Vegas, NV on May 22, 2009. The son of Donna and Raymond Williams, who preceded him in death, Jeff was born on December 29, 1955 in Saratoga, CA and attended Prospect High School when there were still blossoming orchards in San Jose.
He was a design engineer and a single parent who put his children Raymond and Amber first, thus becoming not only their father, but their best friend as well. Known to be emotional on occasion, he rarely made a decision without sleeping on it first and then engaging the thoughts of his children, often with a daily phone call. He made yearly camping trips on Memorial weekend to anywhere he could find water, boating and fishing.
He is survived by sons Raymond Williams and Hunter Williams, daughter Amber Williams, and grandson Alexander Kingsland. A memorial gathering will be held at the Moose Lodge, 2470 El Rancho Drive, Santa Cruz on Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 1 PM to 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Helping Fathers Recover, 200 7th Avenue, Suite 150, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
