Jennifer Callahan was born on December 13, 1962 in Honolulu and grew up filled with the Aloha spirit on Maui. After high school she moved to Santa Cruz and met the love of her life, Peter, and built a family in Corralitos. Jen found great joy in raising her children, creating an amazing circle of friends and serving the community, always active in school fundraisers and church activities to help those in need. She was even a soft touch for any wayward pet. Jen dreamed of a world full of peace, without strife, and lived every day to make it happen. On April 17 Jennifer was taken away from us all too soon but we always find peace in remembering how she made us laugh and brought joy to all of our lives.
Jen is survived by her husband Peter Callahan, and her wonderful children Grace Callahan and Matthew Williamson Callahan, her mother, Jane Thompson, sister Julia Frey, father John Elliott, brothers Jeff, John and Josh Elliott and sister Heather Metcalf and cousin Joel Elliott.
A Rosary service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 7pm. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday April 23 10:30am. Holy Eucharist Catholic Community 527 Corralitos Road, Corralitos, CA 95076, 831-722-5490. Following the services on Wednesday, please join family and friends at Seacliff Beach to honor Jen with a luau.
The family requests flowers be sent to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations for a memorial beach bench can be sent to Julia Frey 2659 Military Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064.

Jennifer was a great person and I'm very sorry for her friends and families loss. I didn't know Jennifer very closely but she catered my wedding and I'll never forget her part in our day. She was a special person and I enjoyed knowing her.

Jennifer's passing is so unbelievable and sad. She has passed way too soon and I grieve for all those who knew and loved her. She was a wonderful, kind, sweet soul. We should have become old ladies together. Thank-you Jennifer for being the outstanding person that you were.I will miss you.

I just wanted to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Jennifer. She was such a kind & beautiful woman. The kindness that she showed my mother (Linda) & our entire family during Linda's illness is a long lasting gift to me. I have never forgotten & will never forget the support that she gave to all of us. Over the past 11 years I have often been comforted by the goodness & caring of my mother's friends. And I have tried to give those same gifts to others. It's hard to put into words how Jennifer touched & strengthened my own life. I am deeply saddened at her passing, but feel blessed to have been touched by such an extraordinary spirit. You are all in my prayers.
