Ken McElroy was born on February 13, 1940, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the eldest of three children. He died peacefully on February 27, 2020, just two weeks after his eightieth birthday.
Ken was a devoted loving husband and father. He was a teacher, realtor and antique dealer. Ken wore many hats but none were more important to him than his role as a husband and father. He was kind, patient, humorous and fun loving. Ken taught for 38 years and especially enjoyed teaching kindergarten. He was an outstanding teacher.
Ken's hobbies included gardening, cooking and singing. He was an active member of the Aptos United Methodist Church.
Ken is survived by his wife Diane, his son Kenny, his brother Robert and sisters-in-law Sally DiGirolamo, Peg McElroy and Jen Murphy along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The celebration of Ken's life will be held at the Aptos United Methodist Church 221 Thunderbird Drive, Aptos, CA on Saturday 25 at 11:30 am. The service will also be shared live on Zoom. If you wish to Zoom, please contact the family for the link.

So sorry to hear about Ken. We all loved him so much. Danielle was in his first kindergarten class and Alaina followed 6 years later. We would love to attend the service but if space is crowded would opt for zoom. Please send the link. Again our thoughts are with you. Will always think of you when I remember Ken teasing you about A Lanz dress. Thanks. Barbara.
