Michael Andrew Craig, 66, of Aptos, passed away Valentines Day from complications due to ALS.
Mike was born to Millicent Craig and the late Samuel Craig, February 14th, 1947, in Denver, Co. He graduated from Cubberley High School in 1966. He married Laurie Craig in the spring of 1986 and they lived together in Aptos, Ca.
Mike was drafted during the Vietnam War in 1967 and served two years.
Mike prided himself on being a self-made entrepreneur and businessman, owning Monterey Bay Estate Jewelry and Antiques. He opened the shop in 1993 and was passionate about his work. Even after his diagnosis of ALS he continued to go to the shop long after he had lost his ability to move and talk. His success in business came from his ability to form meaningful relationships with everyone that walked through the door..
Mike loved to travel to Maui with his wife, family and friends. He enjoyed bringing together all of the people that he loved and he relished being the center of attention..
Mike was an avid golfer, gambler, smoker, and advice giver. He was a charming, social guy with a great sense of humor and picked up friends wherever he went.
Mike is survived by wife Laurie, daughters Amoreena, Carrie, Elise, and Darcy, three granddaughters and one grandson.

A memorial will be held on Sunday March 10th at 1pm at Severinos Bar and Grill.
