50 Year Resident of Santa Cruz

Family and friends are mourning the passing of a dear husband, trusted friend, and talented musician, Michael Knight, who passed away peacefully at his home from unexpected heart failure. He was 72 years old.
Michael was born in Alameda California and attended Hillsdale High School in San Mateo. From an early age, music was his passion, and he became a talented drummer; playing in several groups including Chaw, Ravers, Dicky Dirt, and Crawdaddy. Fond memories will continue to be cherished of live performances at the Catalyst and various other venues around the country, along with the tales and travels of the music business.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Sue Knight, his mother, Jean Knight, his two sisters, Denise Knight and Jo Rabbetts, along with a host of dear friends, fellow musicians, extended family and his beloved cat Bacon.
A private committal has taken place. Any kind acts of charity can be made in his memory to Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (www.scanimalshelter.org / 2200 7th Ave. Santa Cruz CA. 95062) Please visit the Benito and Azzaro homepage to share your reflections and condolences with his family.
