I met and worked with Tony at Supreme Chapter this past summer in Charleston. Solid brother and dedicated individual who was extremely passionate about Push America and helping others. I was shocked when Mark Timmes notified all the chapters of Tony's untimely death. Pi Kapp lost a valuable brother and wonderful human being to the Chapter Eternal. The prayers of Delta Chapter are with Tony's family and our brothers at FIU.

I just wanted to say I am so sorry for this loss. Tony was such an amazing person. He was such a role model not only to his family and brothers of Pi Kappa Phi but also to many of us ladies of Delta Phi Epsilon. I had the honor of working with Tony during our homecoming events this year and words cannot even express how highly I think of him. He was truly an exceptional human being and he will be missed, but we will never forget him. He has truly impacted me.

To the Perez Family,

Your son and brother was truly one of a kind. He touched the hearts of many through his smile, his noble character, his respect for others, and his kindness. Everytime I ran into Tony, he was smiling. He always put others before himself. Thank you for allowing Tony to be a part of our lives. Most of the greatest memories I have had while being in college were shared with him and so many others that loved him just as much. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. God needed an angel and he chose the best one. Tony is now a guardian angel to many of those who loved him. My prayers and thoughts are with you! May you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. You can rest assured that his legacy will continue!

"Jay" as I called Tony (by his middle name) was and will always be very special to me and my whole family. This tragedy has been devastating to all of us who knew Jay. He was the most caring person I have ever met. He had a very sweet heart, and there are no words to describe how much we love him and how much he will be missed. To Vilma, Tony, Jeff and Jenny: Please know that my family and I will always be here and you guys are family to us! We love you, and I pray that you find peace in your hearts b'c I know that your lives have changed forever without Jay. We love you... Ana Echevarria and Family.

May God bless your family. I can't begin to imagine how you must feel. But remember, eventhough Tony is not with us physically he is with us spiritually. He is looking over all. Don't be afraid to speak to God he will guide you through this hard time. Tony will never be forgotten. He has touched the lives of so many people. My sister is a Phi Sig and she has been hurt by all of this. The only thing that I can tell her is to be strong for both her self and Tony's family. Tony and Janelle will both be in my prayers. I urge everyone to take at least 5 min of their time and say a prayer for both Tony and Janelle. They are both seated next God.

Our deepest sympathy to Tony, Vilma, Jeffrey and Jennifer on the loss of their beloved son and brother. We met Tony when he was 14, having just become part of the Cintron-Cruz family, his family welcomed us with open arms. We always remember how good he was to his new cousins specially when one of them started at Southwest HS. He introduced her to all his friends, and always looked for her to make sure she was ok and that no one had messed with her. Tony will always be in our hearts and prayes.

I met Tony this year as i rushed Pi Kappa Phi, we became good friends throughout the weeks i was with them. After I dropped the fraternity bid i continued to speak with him on a regular basis, he would go by my job and we would chat. I have now realized how truly amazing Pi Kappa Phi is and regret dropping my bid. His leadership will be missed day in and day out. He was not only a leader to the fraternity but to the school. Tony was a great friend and will be missed greatly. I met him at southwest our junior year and the friendship grew from there. It's surreal to have heard of this news and be able to put it together. I will miss his upbeat personality and cheery look at life. We need more people like him here with us.
