ARTHUR BEDFORD GILL MARCH 5, 1946 - JUNE 16, 2018 A. Bedford Gill passed away on June 16, 2018, at the age of 72 in Santa Fe, NM, following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. Bedford was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. He moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1970 where he was a hardworking CPA for 45 years. He founded Gill & Kohr with his business partner Byron Kohr, and they worked together for many years. Throughout his life he loved technology, tinkering, photography, and spending time with friends and family. He was kind, generous, forthright, smart, and stubborn. While he struggled for most of his life with a severe stutter, it never slowed him down, and he was always quite clear on his opinion of things. Bedford was predeceased by his father, Ames Gill, Sr., his mother Frances Clenny Gill, and brother Ames Gill, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Carol Kelley; children, David (Larissa) Gill, and Sara Gill; stepson, Garth (Laura) Madison; grandchildren, Cameron, and Natalie Gill, and Isaac, David, and Anna Madison; and sister, Sally Gill. He will be deeply missed. A reception will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at McGee Memorial Center, 1320 Luisa St., Santa Fe, NM.
