CLYDE ARCHIBEQUE Obituary

CLYDE ARCHIBEQUE
Clyde Archibeque, born on March 21, 1936 in Algodones, New Mexico passed away on August 14, 2025 at the hospital in Santa Fe surrounded by his beloved family. He lived a life marked by dedication, devotion, hard work and a strong sense of family values.
Clyde had an illustrious career. He dedicated over 25 years to public service beginning with his employment at the State Land Office in the late 1950's and subsequently contributing his talents to the City of Santa Fe Planning Department and the State Highway Department where he retired from. To make ends meet for his family, Clyde also worked evenings for local 7-Elevens and liquor stores. Post-retirement, Clyde continued to engage his passion for golf by working as a Marshal for the Links de Santa Fe and the Las Campanas Golf Course for many years. His commitment to service and community was further highlighted by his role as an elementary basketball coach, a little league baseball coach, and finally as an usher at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi for many years.
Clyde was a clean and meticulous individual with a good sense of humor, qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike. He cared for and cherished his family deeply. He also cared for numerous friends who he loved to talk with. Clyde took great joy landscaping his home and tending to his beautiful grass, trees, shrubs and flowers. Clyde also loved to play golf, a passion that brought him immense happiness for most of his life.
He leaves behind his cherished family including his sons, Clyde Archibeque Jr. (Wife Gina) and Steve Archibeque; his daughter, Kim Garcia (Husband Ray); his brother, Johnny Archibeque (Wife Dolo); and his sister, Priscilla Perez. He was a proud grandfather to Elena Montoya, Clyde Archibeque III, Jolene Archibeque-Schachtner (Husband Justin), Tiffany Archibeque, Estevan Archibeque, and Jessica Johnson-Dimas (Husband Junior) and his great-grandchildren: Angelo, Karmela, Marcos, Tyler, Andrew, Issac, Lilyanna, Andres, Emma and Natacia.
Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife for 60 years, Isabell Archibeque; his daughter, Vivian Archibeque-Martinez; his parents, Edwardo and Manuelita Archibeque; his siblings, Elias Archibeque, Eufelia Sandoval, and Pauline Montoya; his grandson, Frank Johnson Jr., his great-grandson, Steven Romero; and his nephew Trini Guerrero.
Clyde Archibeque's legacy is one of love, prayer, laughter and dedication to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

My condolences to the Archibeque family. Jessica I helped care for your grandpa and had the pleasure of meeting you a couple of times while there. Your grandpa was a wonderful man and he couldn“t express to me enough what good care you gave him. He said there was no one better at it than you. He always spoke very highly of you, always remember that. God bless.

Grandpa words cannot express how much I miss you! Our countless talks, laughs and your guidance in my life since I was young has helped me tremendously threw my life and I will forever remember that and be thankful for everything you and Grandma have done for me. I know now I will be okay because you are my Angel now and forever. It was an honor to be able to take care of you, thank you for believing in me. I love you Grandpa to the moon and back with all my heart. Only thing that is helping me threw this is knowing that you are at peace and not suffering no more and you are now with Grandma Isabell, Tia Vivian, my brother Frankie and my Cousin Steven. I now have an army of Angels that I know are gonna guide and help me for the rest of my life, until God calls me home to be with you all, but untill then I love you Grandpa always and Forever may you Rest In Peace... Love your Granddaughter
