CONNIE R. MARTINEZ Connie R. Martinez, 87 - A resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away October 24, 2018 due to natural causes. Connie was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on February 20, 1931 to Ralph and Margaret Rodriguez. She married Joe E. Martinez on November 5, 1951 in Orlando, Florida. She is preceded in death by her two sisters; parents: Ralph and Margaret Rodriguez; brothers, Benny and Ralph Rodriguez. Connie is survived by her husband, Joe E. Martinez; son Dennis Martinez (Carmen); daughters: Kathy CdeBaca (Anthony) all of Santa Fe, Margie Olewnik (Rick) of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Anne CdeBaca (Steve) of Albuquerque, Jonathan Martinez of Oahu, Hawaii, Mark Martinez (Melody) Daniel Martinez (Laura), Matthew CdeBaca (Jennifer) all of Santa Fe, Michael CdeBaca of Chandler, AZ, and many other relatives and friends. She retired from the New Mexico Vocational Rehabilitation Agency after 25 years of service as an Accounting Technician. Her hobbies included: Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting, Painting Ceramics, collecting Native American Pottery and Dolls. She loved to wear turquoise necklaces, earrings and pins. Connie was a devout Catholic who loved God, her family and helped people in different ways. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church with a Mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mark, Jonathan and Daniel Martinez, Michael and Matthew CdeBaca, Rick Olewnik.
