Connie M. Valencia

Connie M. Valencia Age 79, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to her heavenly home, Sunday, May 27, 2012. She was born in Pecos, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos and Cruzita (Martinez) Varela; daughter, Ellen June Valencia; and brothers, Florentino and Jacob Varela. Connie is survived by her loving children: Annette, Lorelei, Corrine, Belinda, Marvin, Norman and wife Doris and Karen; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Lydia, Toni, Sophie, Bobby and Michael; and many other relatives; her lovable cat, Soxx and friends. Connie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Final viewing will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Pecos, NM, where another Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Anthony's Cemetery in Pecos, NM. Casket Bearers will be: Arcy Vigil, Robert Baca, Henry Mares, Ivan Valencia, Sean Valencia and Andres Armijo. Honorary Bearers will be: Anthony Alamanzar, Angelo Alamanzar, Aaliyah Gabaldon, Anthony Maldonado, Marcos Valencia, Doris Valencia, Little Sean Valencia, Little Marcos Valencia and Michael Valencia.
