David Gonzales Obituary
Our beloved David F. Gonzales was called home to be with our Lord on August 25, 2021. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on September 28, 1943.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diana Gonzales, son David Rey Gonzales, brother Lorenzo Gonzales, sister Ernestina Chavez, and parents Marcos and Elena (Alarid) Gonzales. He is survived by his son Michael Gonzales, brothers Samuel, Jerry (Melody), Antonio Gonzales, sister Frances Martinez, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
David earned his Bachelor of Education at the college of Santa Fe. Then went on to earn his Master's from St. John's College. Our loved one was a long-time educator at B.F Young and Alameda Jr. High. He was a lifelong musician and a renowned wood carver.
Visitation will be held at Berardinelli Funeral Home 1399 Luisa St. in Santa Fe on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 511 Alicia St. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Scott's House, 287 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505) 204-5696.
