Eddie "Coach" Padilla, 57, passed away on June 16, 2021. Eddie was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico August 26, 1964 to Larry and Isabel Padilla.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Isabel Padilla, his grand- parents Thomas and Annie Vigil, his brother Carl Eric Padilla, Eddie's wife Cheryl, and good friend Carrie Johnson.
Eddie is survived by his son Michael (April Abeyta), brothers Ken and wife Sandi, Larry and wife Kathi, Mario and wife Faye, in-laws Steve, and Alexis Scott. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Rosary: Tuesday August 3, 2021, at the "KIVA" Rivera's Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87505 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday August 4, 2021, at Santa Maria de la Paz Church, 11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87508 at 10 a.m.
Eddie would have asked to please donate to your local AABC baseball program in lieu of flowers.

My big bro!! I remember driving you guys around in your Supra when I was 15. Thanks for all the laughs with you, Ronald, Harold, Anthony Archuleta and many others. Thanks for letting me hang out in your classroom when I didn't wanna go to science or math. LOL. The work you did with coaching and reffing and umping and teaching kids, especially the special needs kids was amazing brother. LOVE YA COACH! Fly High My Brother!

My deepest condolences to the family. I coached Eddie in his high school days and he was a total team player. His humility and empathy were strong characteristics of his lifestyle. He was a genuine good person. RIP my friend.
