Josephine Trujillo Obituary

Josephine Trujillo Age 88. Our beloved Josephine passed on to eternal life on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Trujillo; and son, Gilbert Trujillo. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha Garcia and family, Ernest and Carlos; son, Alfonso Trujillo and family, Alfonso and Fernando; daughter, Rebecca Marks and family, Keith and Joe; daughter, Virginia Rountree and family, Matt, Jason and Billy; granddaughter, Sarah and her son; great grandsons: Peter, Ignacio, and Johnny, and their mother Marsha; sister, Filipita Gurule; and brother-in-law, George Garcia; in-laws: Juanita Vigil, Donicio and Clara Trujillo, Margaret Rodriguez, Martha Herrera, Helen and Frank Ortiz; and many generations of nieces and nephew. In addition to her family, Mrs. Trujillo was lovingly cared for by her companeros, Sra. Matilde Herrera y Sr. Francisco Contreras. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009, 7 p.m., at Rivera Family Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at la Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada on Friday, October 2, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the "Meals on Wheels" program, P.O. Mom, On my birthday(today) you would sing "Las Mananitas" to me without fail, you never forgot, your voice was beautiful, even to the end. Thank you. My sisters did their best, but its not like MOM. I love you.

I miss my Mom so much. We had so much fun together, just simple fun things; I find myself still doing them. We would ride around the churches in Santa Fe or Espanola, any domination; no differance, she would sign herself at all of them. Praise God for my Moms life.

I'm so sorry to hear of Josie's passing. Alfonso and Nando, and great-grandsons, Peter, Ignacio, and Johnny will miss her greatly. Josie will be a lasting influence in all thier lives. My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you.
