MICHAEL ROSOW Obituary

September 7, 2025
We are saddened to share the passing of Mike Rosow, a 30-year resident of Santa Fe and owner of the popular downtown store Purple Sage. Having moved to Massachusetts this past spring, Mike died at his home in Stockbridge, MA, holding the hand of the love of his life, Joan Sickler. Just shy of his 80th birthday, Mike was a stroke survivor of 22 years.
Dr. Michael P. Rosow grew up outside of New York City.
A Ph.D. psychologist, he did groundbreaking work with the Work in America Institute. He also developed a very effective pain relief cream called Amazing Pain-Less.
Mike enjoyed cars-including his 2002 bright yellow Prowler-good food, and watching the Yankees.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Ali Rosow and Nick Stableski, and Nick's wife Juliette; his brother, Joel; and his beautiful grandchildren, Lincoln and Maya Stableski.
We are grateful to Hospice for helping him pass peacefully at home.
