NICHOLAS VIGIL Obituary

NICHOLAS ROBERT VIGIL
Nicholas Robert Vigil, our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 30th, 2022 at the young age of 24. Nicholas was born in Mountain View CA to Robert and Lisa Vigil, he grew up in Santa Fe, NM where he graduated from St. Michael's High School. Nicholas attended and graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and continued to reside in Colorado.
Nicholas lived with a passion that impacted everyone that knew him and brought out the best in them. He moved through life with grace, speed and style and whether you were younger, older, or the same age, Nicholas made you want to be better. Nicholas loved his family. The bonds he formed with his immediate and extended family will exist forever with his spirit. Those lucky enough to be his friends were considered by Nicholas to be his brothers and sisters.Nicholas' life is an example of a life well lived and a life well loved. Let his spirit and memories guide us to make the most of our own lives while allowing our kindness and selflessness to positively impact those around us. In Nicholas' own words, "Be better today, than you were yesterday".
Nicholas is survived by his parents Lisa and Robert Vigil, brother, Christian Vigil, his paternal grandparents, Susie Corriz (Ferbie) and Leo Vigil, his uncles Patrick Vigil, Paul Pavia (Eva), John Pavia, Raymond Pavia (Emilia), his aunts, MaryAnn Pavia (Manny Guterres), Angie Gabaldon (Ed), Margie Haslow (Marty Hwang), and his loving great uncle Ron, great aunts, cousins, godparents and friends.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Amelia Pavia and Raymond Pavia, great grandmothers Connie Quintana, Bennie Barela, Angelita Flores, great grandfather Willie
Barela, and great uncle Tone Barela.
Services for Nicholas Vigil will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi on 2/12/2022. The rosary will begin at 10:00am followed by a mass. Following the mass, a reception will be held at 1pm at Santa Maria de La Paz reception hall, located at 11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87508.
