wonderful memMy sincere condolences to Mr. Richard Hawkins and to her son Fred. It was a priviledge to work with Pat during her tenure in Dominican Republic. I have many memories from our golden years in our Embassy. These memories will last forever. Rest in peace my friend!

You not only touched so many of us from all over the world, especially here in the D.R., as a great leader and professional, but you also went beyond that...you touched our hearts. I consider myself blessed to have worked with you, in true partnership, and saw how you shared your humanity with all of us and, at times, protected us and truly enjoyed our presence. Always in my heart. Blessings to Richard.

You lived such an interesting life, Patty. I told the story of our winning the top raffle tickets at a cake walk at at a hoe down. We each won a airplane ride in a Piper Cub from Hamlin´s Airport. When Laurie and Barbie found out, there was deal of "That´s not fair!" Accomplied by screaming and crying. It goes without saying that all 4 of us got free rides in that Piper Cub. Gosh, we were young.

My deepest condolences to Richard. I met Pat while she was the PAO in Dominican Republic and I will never forget her warmth and professionalism. She certainly left many happy memories in all of us who worked with her. May she rest in peace!

Patty and I knew each other when we were young children. We had mutual friends. Our mothers were good friends. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

What a loss. Pat was smart, capable, gifted, loyal, and funny. She made the most of every detail of life, and gave back in infinite ways.
