Robert Rivera Obituary
Robert Albino Rivera passed away on December 20, 2021.
Robert was born on October 18, 1946, in Santa Fe, New Mexico and lived in the small village of La Cienega. He was a son, beloved partner; father; brother; grandpa; great grandpa; uncle and friend.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Reynalda Rivera.
He is survived by his beloved partner of 33 years, Sandra Chavez, sister Connie Chavez (Humberto); daughters Vanessa Prada (Mark); Yvette Chavez; Maria Dove (Kevin); Jennifer Rivera; Geraldine (Geri) Gurule (Dennis); Kimberly Armendariz-Rivera (Juan); Reynalda (Rey) Rivera and sons Dennis and Donald (Tiny) Chavez, and all his grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins, and friends. Robert was a man that live a wonderous life.
He found himself learning the necessary skills that would lead him to enter the horse racing world/lifestyle. He took pride in taking care of his horses and he became a successful horsemen, owner, and trainer. He was able to travel through different states and cities racing and made friends wherever he would go.
Robert would help anyone in need, and he loved teaching anyone who wanted to listen and learn all about horses & racing. Robert will be greatly missed and never forgotten. God Rest his Soul!
A rosary will be recited at San Isidro Parish Center, 3552 Agua Fria St., Santa Fe, NM 87507 on February 1, 2022, at 9:30 am., following with a mass at 10:00 am. then proceed to San Jose Church in La Cienega for the burial (masks required).
