ROMAINE ALARID Obituary
Beloved sister and aunt Romaine Alarid passed away on April 16, 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Romaine was born to parents David and Louise Alarid. She is predeceased by her parents, sister Eva Lucero, brother David Alarid Jr. Romaine is survived by sister Corrine Vigil, sister Patricia Alarid Kleinschmidt (Phillip), Paula Alarid (Wendy Law), and many nieces and nephews.
Internment will be held Thursday May 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rivera Family Funeral & Cremations 417 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87505.

Dear Family, You do not know who I am, and I do not know you, but I knew Romaine and want to relay my deepest condolences to you. I have just learned of Romaine´s passing. I had just asked my husband, wondering how she might be. I told him the last I knew, she had moved to Santa Fe to be with her family. My husband located her obituary, and I am saddened that I had not been able to get in touch with her sooner. I worked with Romaine at a law firm in Dallas in the early 90s. She was always such an outgoing, loving, and caring friend to me. She always doted over our daughter who was just a baby (our daughter is in her early 30s now). I remember we had lunch with Romaine and her mother, Louise, at a Red Lobster in Dallas. Another time, we walked through a Dallas historic park together, just getting to know one another. We did not get to know each other as well as I would have liked because we worked in different departments and not long after we became friends, she said she was moving to Santa Fe. I did not have her address or phone number and lost touch with her. I do recall her talking longingly about her family and she frequently mentioned Patsy in a loving way. She had a sweet smile and laughter, and such a sympathetic heart. My heart goes out to each of you in your loss.

I'm deeply saddened to learn of Romaine's passing. We were very close in High School when we were in band as cheerleaders. I dearly loved Romaine, and I am so sorry for your loss.
